Commentary:
We can't go through life & erase times & situations that don't go as we suspect or wish.
We learn from them, we build stronger character in ourselves & sometimes we give someone else something to think about & learn from.
I say it often, debate is healthy.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: When you are not offended upon witnessing blatant disrespect of someone that may be different from you, understand that your inaction & insensitivity is unacceptable & not in any way conducive to our quality of life. It is shameful & as human beings - WE REALLY NEED TO DO BETTER!
ReplyDeleteThis comment is from a talented Makeup Artist I am glad to call a friend.
ReplyDelete"Race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, etc. None of those play apart in making someone a better makeup artist. Their willingness to evolve, learn, be persistent, hone and perfect their craft, patience, and prayers are what have made them a better makeup artist. Don't get caught up in stereotypes people! Open your mind." __April Antoinette Makeup Artist

Thank you April. PERFECTLY SAID!
This says it all:
ReplyDelete"As an artist I work with all skin tones and bring my artistry and esthetic into every situation while making it timely, timeless and meeting the needs of the client and the job at hand. My work has nothing to do with my skin tone, my sexuality or my personal style. My list of deeper skin tone clients ranges from Barack Obama and Coretta Scott King to Lil Wayne and Naomi Campbell. I constantly strive to be seen beyond my look and my work and will never limit myself to other peoples judgements."

I love the quotation you gave. That's nice. It really took me out of my comfort zone and my doubts, and thoughts. Made me work better. Well, for the mean time, I am currently getting a cosmetology license and I hope than when I get one, I am able to get a job ASAP and perform well. Your quotation really give me something to fire up and motivate myself. Thanks there.
